Providing the filling complies with current fire regulations, there are no easily detachable parts and the design isn't infringing copyright you should be OK.

Thanks for opinions-I use all new materials-and no eyes-its all wool and washable stuffing-so I'll go along the thought that If i'd give it to any of my children then I'd be happy for someone else to give it to theirs. I've not poisoned or choked any of them yet!

If people aren't happy they are safe they don't have to buy them-they can give a huge donation instead!! Hee hee.

Jean Greenhowe's small print states

"WARNING COPYRIGHT -

Jean Greenhowe Designs are the exclusive copyright holdings in this publication and the designs illustrations contained therein. There characters designs patterns and publications may not be reproduced or adapted in whole or in part for COMMERCIAL or INDUSTRIAL purposes."

Therefore if you have knitted something and are giving it away there is no copyright law broken. If you are doing it to sell and receive the money yourself I think that may be different.

One of Jean Greenhowe's books is all Bazaar stuff!

You keep your knitting needles going - like I do. LOL

every year our local cancer hospital - Velindre - sells Cadbury Creme eggs in little knitted yellow chicks - a group of people knit them all through the year and they are sold in all local shops throughout the city for £1 each - this has happened for as long as I can remember

How sad that would be if we can't do such a lovely thing for charity.
I just googled "Making Toys for Charity" there are a few leaflets to download. might be worth taking a look.
Good luck with the charity sale, hope you make loads of money and bring happiness to a lot of people.
Peace and Love to all

I think that may cover only where eyes or removable part are used,,also the stuffing may have to conform,,,,,,,,

If you are using a printed pattern then copyrights will be covered,so no problem there as long as you dont attatch a lable,,,,,,,,

I'm not sure if its the CE standard, or the fact it is Pudsey. Pudsey is a tradmark and is therefore copyright of BBC.
