I'll talk to anybody.

I know how it is to not see or speak face to face with anyone for days on end.

I feel it for the elderly who live alone. Some of then only go out to meet someone to talk to.

Poor soul was just happy that she could get everything off her chest when she spoke to you.

xx

awwww................poor lady, what a rotten shame:(

When Dad died it took 8 weeks to get Mum's pension sorted out, absolutely disgraceful!

They know the widow or widower is likely to get more each week, so why they don't continue to pay the minimum out until they sort the new payment is beyond me.

I do if they talk to me. I was sitting next to an elderly lady last night on the way home from work. She started to say she didn't know how much more could go wrong..and I though, 'Oh God, here we go with a life story'. She then told me that she had just lost her wedding ring in Tescos and they couldn't find it. She was so upset because she lost her husband 6 weeks ago.'

She then went on to tell me how obstructive the DWP were with sorting out the pensions. She said they stopped her husbands straight away, within one day, but they still haven't sorted out hers so she is living on their little bit of savings at the moment.

I could have cried by the time I got off, bless her.

If I am with a friend we always end up chatting to most people on the bus/coach....great fun.....we have even been known to have a sing song lol.

The Ulster bus in Northern Ireland is also great for chatting away to everyone and anyone. It travels all over. We met one lady who lived alone and regularly travelled across the country just to meet and converse with others. That was another time we started off an Irish sing song and a great time was had by all :-)))

I had so many coincidences to chat about with a lady I met in another part of the country yesterday.
Makes one wonder if it was pure chance that made me sit by her.....

Gwyn.......who some say can talk for England.......?
