yes, but the fountain of eternal youth is now a distinct possibility.

Wouldnt it be good to be sitting at your personal communicator telling the ggggbairns about how you used to use a thing called a laptop, and seeing them all crease up with laughter.

Imagine trying to describe a car or, better still, a pushbike!

What fun it would be.

The fountain of eternal youth ?.......that old chesnut.........lol

Imagine the amount of Oil of Ugly a 200 year old woman would use and the hair dye.......lol

I'll stick with good old Mother Nature thank you.

It would be good if everyone we cared about were still alive, but as you say, the world would sink lol!

If I had all my marbles ( which are being lost at an accelerated rate at the mo ) I would be all for it.

Don't go along with the * Do you think we should stick to our threescore years and ten, or carry on indefinetely?* bit though......my lot died relatively younger than the said three score years and ten, which may be the going rate for these days, but wasn't for years ago......life gets longer for the majority as the centuries pass and we seem to have coped so far, as I am sure we always will.

I suppose it could be optional - I love being alive, to be honest! It's dead good fun (get it?)

I really don't fancy dying at all, but theres not a lot of choice in the matter at the moment. So I am going to make the most of being alive whilst I can. Be good to extend it though :-)

no point you taking it at your age mate x

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 15 Aug 2008 20:28

What about this, then.

The part of our DNA which controls the aging process has allegedly been isolated and can be modified to slow down the process or even reverse it, it is claimed.

How would you feel about living twice or even thrice as long?

There are ramifications for overpopulation and ethical considerations I would imagine.

I, personally, would love to be a fit and healthy 200 year old who can still walk, run and do lots of other things as well :-)

Do you think we should stick to our threescore years and ten, or carry on indefinetely?
