We knew when we took him on that he wouldnt have long as he was almost 18 then, but he has surprised us all and has kept going and we have got used to his little ways and Tiddler is besotted with him even puts him in her pushchair and wheels him around.

Before we had him after he was found (he lay by his dead owner for 6 days before they were found) he had little fits which they think were little strokes.

He had one a few weeks back and we thought that was it as he lay on me for hours with very shallow breathiing but he pulled through despite me telling him he could go and see his old mum again if he wanted.

Tonight while I was out he had another one Lissy said it was horrible as he screeched. He is now laid out on his cushion covered with a blanket and again his breathing is shallow.

If he doesnt pick up overnight will take him to vet tomorrow as dont want him sufferring even though Id hate him to go cos he has become part of the family.

UPDATE Friday 8/8

well the little old man has surprised us all and is still going and wolfed down his brekkie and has wondered round the garden as if nothing happened. hes now laid out on rug asleep despite Tiddlers attempts to play with him.
Spoke to dad this morning and told him if he looks like he is suffering when they have him to take him to a vet and have him put to sleep as dont want him suffering and they can bury him in their garden
Thanks for all the messages of support but afraid the old boy has other ideas about going off he wants to stay lol
