I believe the thunder is the sound of the lightening vibrating the air and heating the air molecules..

just saw a flash of lightening.. is it hear the thunder then count till you see the lightening or the other way around

'bad' is also Yorkshire as in 'she were reet bad' and 'she were proper poorly'

Short storm around 6 - 7 in Llandrindod Wells, thunder and lightning, but only rain in Builth. Nothing now, and still very humid

It's hit here in Conwy - overhead thunder and lashing rain. Street lights have gone off, candles lit just in case.
