Castle park sounds quite nice.

I pass the station everyday :) I know that part of town better than where I live.

It really depends on what you are looking for in your meet - there are no shops or anything to speak of near the Station - but if your up for a ten or 15 min walk though castle park the the world is your egg for bars and restuarants and shops.

The only place close to the station is the Knights Templar which is a big pub / food type place but not eh most inspiring part of the city. It has a large outdoor bit for smokers.

Its prob less than 5 mins from the station and another five mins away a ferry runs every hour or so. Ive never caught it its of of those little ferry boatds would prob make a nice trip along the canal I spect. I can check the prices I pass the board most weekdays. But as I say a lot of building work going on along the canal.

The park and ride stops outside the city inn which is also less than five mins from that pub. I dont know if the pub is open on a Sat come to think of it -I guess it would be.

We pass the park and ride on the way in but don't ask me what road it is on, we always lose ourselves when we drive to bristol. Got a weekend booked there in November, staying at the Thistle hotel (usually use Jurys) because it has a pool and jacuzzi. going to see Blood Brothers.

Maddie would you be able to have a look next time you go into town to see if there is somewhere near to the station that we could meet at. If you don't mind please.

Parking is a bit expensive Ann thats true - I use place just round the corner from the station if I drive in - can park there all day for £7.50. There is a park and ride though - ive never used it so dont know if its free. I think something in the back of my mind says its £2.00 but I dont know where it is - I know where the bus stops - but not where you park.

The problem was that there was 2 really heavy downpours on the Friday and they couldn't cope with the deluge and it was running down the hillside overlooking the airfield and saturating it. Luckly enough we'd got our tents up before the rain came, but the campsite was horrendous on the Friday night.

I saw it on TV Helen. It often happens that parts of Gloucester get the rain and parts don't. it was our turn last July!

the only problem with T Meads is the parking for people who come by car.

All our weather forecast had said was showers Friday and Saturday. but I was in Milton Keynes on Friday until Monday. had one shower there, don't think it rained here!!
