I too have no problem, but can see that it could offend some, I think "sweetie" is like"dear" (which I often use) can be taken to mean either as an endearment or in a derogatory manner. But if you use it all the time then cannot see why someone would take offence, if they read your threads or posts they would be able to read the "tone" in which it is put.

Tsk! there is no pleasing some folk is there, sweetie!
LOL.

Take no notice of the dried up old prune who complained. pmsl.

In real life I have a tendency to call people *plum* as a term of endearment lololol. My dad uses it a lot and I get it from him. It raises eyebrows at times as you can imagine and I do try to curb it but to no avail lol Don't worry about it... some people are easily offended xx

Oh, come on. You, insincere and patronising? Anybody that knows you to whatever extent would know that you are definitely not either! :-))

You using the word "sweetie" is the same as me using the word "love" or "sweetheart"; it's a term of endearment, and wouldn't cause me offence at all!

Carry on being you, Diana. Don't change!
