We played hide the penny in the garden earlier as a trial run and the detector seemed to find them ok........so at least we know it's working lol.

I'll let you know if we find Boudica's torc or something of historical interest........

Yes I belong to MDClub,,,and go out regular,,all weathers though,,,,,Ive had some good "finds" to me anyway,,,we do Roman and Saxon ,so have a lots of Roman stuff and some nice modern items from beach,,,,,,,,

I use one with discriminator on,,for each metal,,,,,,

They want to go to a local park,to get few results..or just throw hand full of pennies and let the kids find them,they love it,,,,,,,,,hope they have fun,,,,,,

Steve I didn't do any drinking....just hanging around the hotel waiting to be picked up.....by the coach to go to the airport that is ;-pp then the flight, then a few hours at home before going to bed lol

I know what you mean Julie........When I drank at Peterborough during the afternoon I was snoring my head off on the bus home.........polish guy sitting next to me was most put out as I was using him as a pillow lololol xx

I use to have a metal detector and went out with one of my kids when he got one, never found a bean....
