My most recent read has been
My Warriors and I: Among the Samburu of Northern Kenya by Roger Stoakley.

The author came and spoke to a group in our village a while ago and I bought a copy but hadn't got round to reading it until last weekend.
It's fascinating finding about how such a completely different culture views the world and life.

Before that I finished reading
The Making of the Fittest: DNA and the Ultimate Forensic Record of Evolution by Sean B. Carroll.
This was excellent and easy going for non scientists to read.

For light relief I've also recently read some of Bill Bryson's work. Very funny.

anything with a twist..problem is..you dont know until youre reading it...!..read most Pat cornwell James patterson...Murder mystery....CSI type forensic thang...is my "bag"

My favourite authors are...Peter James and Andrew Taylor....well worth a read.

Also...Lisa Scottoline...an American writer

I loved Stephen King's earlier novels..then they seemed to get very complicated. Pet Cemetery was one of my favourites.

Mainly true crime. After that it ranges through James Herbert,Stephen Fry,etc oops & cert poets

I love Deaver, Cornwall, Reichs any sort of forensic crime books. For a light read you cant beat Pratchett. I also like King and Herbert, although dont read so much of them these days.

Biographies and Autobiographies and history books.

I am rarely found without a book and there probably isnt a room in the house without one im half reading.

I hope to finish Bones to Ashes tomorrow which has been one I cant put down which is why I have logged on so late in the morning this week as have been reading for half an hour in bed from 6.30 lol

I have read Nicky Cruz's book The Cross and the Switchblade it is a very very good book, I have also been to one of his ministries when he toured the UK back in the 70s.

If you have read that you may like to read God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew. there is also another one from him cannot think of the title at the mo.

I don't read many books. I alternate between puzzle books and reading. I'm reading Danielle steel HRH at the moment. I used to read a lot more of hers but find she repeats herself. It's alright for a little light reading.

We do have a reading group but the suggestions tend to be mainly fiction. We have read some great books though. The ones by Elizabeth Chadwick which are set in the 12th and 13th century were particularly good.
We have also read the Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Kaleid Hosseini both fiction but based on fact and set in Afghanistan, horrific and informing.

Our book club is called Greaders. If you put that into advanced search it will bring up the threads of what we have read and what we though of the books.

brilliantly composed and well written if you want to get to grips with crime etc. Lee Child is a fantastic author.

All fantastic reads would recommend them to anybody who likes a well told story.

Least Fav Author ANDY McNABB(Bravo 20) have read a couple of his and find them extreemly boring (he goes into too much detail and repeats himself too often)

Anything and everything
have to own up to being bored with King and Herbert.
Pratchett well still in to collect now as he has alzeimers and will not be doing many more.
Terry Brookes Magic Kingdom series is good for those who like Pratchett . The Shannara series I found hard going.
Robert Jordan is another good fantasy writer with his wheel of time series
as is Robin Hobb she also writes under her real name of Lindholm
