I had 'Danny Boy' played it was my Mums favourite for many reasons.....'Abide with me' is what I would have myself.

(((hugs))) to you, Marilyn. (always around if you need to talk at any time, sometimes those closest to you avoid doing that I know)

Hello Marilyn, I am sorry to hear of your Mam`s passing.
Psalm 121 is lovely, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help "

For a bible reading Romans chapter 8 verses 31-38.

"Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ"

As regards hymns it depends if you like something rousing like, Thine be the Glory !or How Great Thou Art,!
Then there is the popular hymn Abide with me or The Old Rugged Cross, but I am sure your Priest/Vicar/Minister help you decide.
Just hold on to the fact that nothing can hurt your
Mam any more ,she is now at peace.
God bless
Gwyn

For my Mum we had
All things bright and beautiful and
Jerusalem(W.I song)
Mum had been a member of the WI for years.

It's so difficult knowing what to choose.I'm sure you will come up with something that you will be happy with.

Marilyn , is the service going to be in the RC church, or at your home?

Marilyn, I had "footsteps in the sand".
if you want the words just yell love.
I had to do the lot on my own as well!

at my Mum's we had "There is a green hill far away" - one of her favourites. We also had All things bright and beautiful" but to be honest I would have chosen that had I been thinking properly cos it goes on and on.
