Eeyore13 Report 26 May 2008 21:10

Sounds like an allergy-cool shower/bath & lactocalamine.
Do you feel ok otherwise?

Paul Norfolk Dumpling

Paul Norfolk Dumpling Report 26 May 2008 21:11

Not blistering, and they're all over, not just on my legs.

Harpstrings

Harpstrings Report 26 May 2008 21:15

Was the long grass on a farmland? You could be allergic to any pesticides they might have used.

Paul Norfolk Dumpling

Paul Norfolk Dumpling Report 26 May 2008 21:15

No, don't think so. But then, red fruits have never effected me in the past.

I've never had an allergic reaction. Apart from adhesives!

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 26 May 2008 21:15

Could be an allergy to all manner of things.
eg a particular food, medication, washing powder etc.
If it continues, ask a pharmacist's advice.

Jane

Jane Report 26 May 2008 21:20

Could be hogweed,Timothy grass. Are your eyes affected aswell?

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 26 May 2008 21:22

I didn't used to be allergic to red fruit but it can be 'seasonal' or if there's a hot spell it effects the histamine levels.
If it doesn't go do what Gwyn said.

AnninGlos Report 26 May 2008 21:25

Muffyxx Report 26 May 2008 21:49

Sounds like Ulticara/nettle rash. I suffer from it at different times of year.....my allergy is to tree sap. Clarityn works for me, no other antihistamine ever did.

It's really not pleasant Paulie I feel for you. Get some tablets down you though asap because it can spread very quickly all over your body xx

Have you had cold like symptoms as well ?

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 26 May 2008 23:40

Do as Gwyn says - take an antihistamine.
'New Era' antihistamine are good - don't cause drowsiness.
You can also get antihistamine creams.

My 33 year old son has just got chicken-pox even though he had it when he was 10. So that's going round at the moment.
