Hello every body peeps,
Yes its me again.
I am pablo1513 and yes am ex military police (13 years) since then have worked as security manager and Healthcare assistant before qualifying as a nurse in 2007.

As Carrie has said I will not be using any of this stuff for anything and am just curious as to what people think about the NHS. especially as all that is heard in the media is scare storied and complaints.

I think the NHS provides good service which could be improved in certain ways i.e. by letting us nurses and other professional get on with what we are trained to do and not bog us down in insurmountable amounts of paperwork, then the personal care would take over.

My father was recently admitted to hospital where he unfortunatley passed on. The nursing care that he recieved was second to none.

I hope that answers some of your questions regarding why I put up this question.

Paul:)

Here it depends which hospital you go to...one's brilliant,t'other's awful.
So yes the NHS can be good value but it depends who's running the individual service.

Having come back from the doctors this morning, and finding out my kidneys are fine, I am well pleased........plus antibiotics for the very sore throat and cough I have picked up from my grandbabies....

I think that, on the whole our NHS is value for money. Again, being over 60 my prescriptions are free but we, at our surgery, get free health checks for BP, cholesterol etc etc, I have had free physio a couple of years ago, and an op this year where I could not fault the service given by all staff in glos Royal hospital.

I am intrigued though paul as to who you were before and why so many controversial questions. which Paul were you please?

Paul... if you are using people's opinions in any professional way, then you have to ask permission, and inform them that their comments may be used in such a way.. Data Protection and all that.

A bore I know, but ce la vie... that is the law!!

Great minds Rosalind, I thought that, too,,, but I THINK this Paul has had another name and is ex military... I haven't seen you around for a while, but hello Paul.

But there does seem to be a somewhat interrogatory feel about, lol!! I am sure it is innocent though.

I broke my arm in Sept, and the treatment I had was good. All the X-rays, and Physio. If it had been private would have cost me a packet. Even though had to wait in Fracture Clinic for check ups for over an hour.

Also have Thyroxin tablets, and medication for hiatus hernia and diverticulatis.

OH on statins . and we both have blood tests every year to see how we are healthwise.
I know being over 60 we dont have to pay for prescriptions,

So on our part yes.

If you rarely use the service, then no.....................if you do, it is wonderful to have treatment when you need it without worrying about the cost.
