Try Capisol Shampoo. It is medicinal, can be bought or on prescription. Will help with scalp dermatitis and leaves the hair quite dry.

Hi Hayley,

I am opposite i have very dry hair, also itches after washing for a few days, drives me bonkers maybe a thread could go up for this get some really good tips on the ageing bit

*If* I was a lady of a certain age, which I'm obviously not, they I would say that the symptoms you describe are perfectly normal.

Dove do a lovely shampoo for "mature" ladies. Which I may try When I reach a certain age which I haven't. Obviously.

mine dragged on for ages all kinds of symptons
ok know though no more of anything
men dont know how lucky they are
good tip is to try baby shampoo and rinse well
my friend tried dry shampoos inbetween shampooing

you poor love !!! Im 58 & have been through it all !!!! welcome to "ageing gracefully" & why is that all our "womens problems" begin with men??? menstration, menopause, ??????
enough to REALLY make you think!!!!
but seriously - talk to your GP - change your shampoo & conditioner , bet youve been using the same one for ages !!! & hang on & enjoy the ride - lifes wonderful !!! cheers

I think Hayley has menopausal symptoms just like my Mum, however, I am too young to offer advice! But my mum says -:
a blue rinse will eliminate the greasy hair look.
talc will stop you sliding 'neath the sheets!!!
