You were right - they were wrong.
These are the sort of people would, if your baby was constantly crying in the supermarket because it was hungry - probably be the first to complain, and would complain as loud as they could!!

Why - because they're self centred and ignorant.

Always fed mine whenever and wherever - as does my daughter :o)

It appears to be ok to see a bloke hanging onto a boob.....but a baby feed is wrong?

What planet were THEY from?

No Tory you did nothing wrong. Just how did this couple see what you were doing if you were in your car . They must have really had a good look in and stared to see what you were doing. Nosey beggars need to mind there own business. It was they that were in the wrong.
Forget them

You were perfectly right Tory and they are the ones in the wrong! HOW DARE THEY????

Sorry, yes i am shouting, i am shouting at their ignorance and stupidity. I have breastfed all 5 of my children, 2 of them beyond the age of 3. I was always discreet and mindful of people not wanting flashes of my ample boobs!!

It is natural, it is normal and and you should be proud of yourself for giving your baby a wonderful start. I cant abide such idiotic behaviour!!

All 4 of mine were breastfed where ever I was when they needed feeding to start with OH was a bit worried people would see me, but he got used to it, as no one could see anything .

I refused to sit in the toilet and if someone said I should use the toilets to fed I asked them if they would eat their sandwich in there at lunchtime!!!

You can feed and keep your dignity but thats what boobs are disigned for.

If I went to someones house I would feed in another room ~ depending who it was.

When my eldest was born my MIL who was dead against me feeding (her 4 boys went straight onto cows milk from the farm tank!!) She asked me to give her a list of times i was feeding so she wouldn't pop in at those times or put a note on the door to warn her!!! ~~~~~~~ I think you can guess what I told her!!!!!!!

I am sorry, I would not expect to be served my meals in a toilet so do not see why a baby should also have its meals in a loo!

Get em out - but be discreet. Thats what they were made for.

no way should you be forced into a toliet to feed your child. someone should make those ignorant revolting people eat their dinner in a toliet and then they can see how they like it,
feed away my lovely!

I am 73, and of a generation who saw no thing wrong in breastfeeding when and where it was needed. As long as you do as you said and are a little discreet about it, take no notice of these fuddy -duddys. Anyway, what you do in the privacy of your own car is something else again and definitely no business of theirs. Go for it ,girl. Jean

Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world as long as it is done discretely I see now harm in doing it in a public place.

If people dont want to see they dont have to look and in most cases you cant see anything other than a baby getting the nourishment it needs.

I certainly wouldnt of gone into hiding to feed my children.

How do you feel about it ?
Sometime ago I was breastfeeding my son in an underground carpark,I was well covered with a shawl and nothing could be seen but was shouted at and told i was disgusting by a couple who then hit my car .Do you think I was wrong?should a woman be aloud to breastfeed in public if she is discreet.?Or do you feel that she should be forced to sit in a pubic toilet to do it .
