Hello Eldrick, yes I remember the programme Psychic Detectives......Tony Stockwell, Colin Fry and a lady, can't remember if it was her or not......

The programme format was, that the 3 psychics were not told of the circumstances of the case, or the sex of the person......anything really.......and the relation or friend of the deceased person would attend, and one by one the psychics would tell them what they knew about the dead person........Tony Stockwell was always the nearest to the truth.....

.......I am getting more sceptical in my old age and cannot believe that they did not know of some of the facts beforehand.......

I must say that I enjoyed some of the programmes, but others were off the mark, sometimes completely.....

......I have an open mind, I would like it to be proved.......my Mum said she would come back to me if she could.......still waiting......

Hmmm. He may offer advice, but I am pretty sure it will be filed in box 13. Interesting link here :

http://www.skeptics.org.uk/article.php?dir=articles&article=police_and_psychics.php

In 32 years service, I can say that I have been aware many times of 'assistance' being offered by both well intentioned or publicity seeking psychics. The cases included murders, missing persons, even lost property. On not one single occasion was the information of any assistance whatsoever and I am not aware of a single instance where it was in any way accurate at all. That is my own experience.

I think it is safe, therefore, to conclude that the police do NOT work with psychics, contrary to the popular mythology propagated by the professional and celebrity mediums.

Coomon sense dictates - imagine the defence barrister at a trial....'so you got your evidence where officer...? From Mr Zodiac Stargazer...I see....his red indian guide called dancing with knife in back told him........Hmmm.' Turns, looks at the jury and sits down.

Tony Stockwell use to have a regular slot on a Sussex radio station. He use to be a policeman and now helps his friends on the force. He's a very down to earth kind of man with a great sense of humour.

I was reading about that well known psychic, Tracy Higgs.

She was due to do a show at Maidstone last October.

It was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

This is not a joke. You couldn't make it up, could you.
