Your radiator valves are not with the two bags of onions I bought last week.I found them when I came home with two more bags but they might be with the T.V remote.

What I want to know is if we put clean cutlery back in the cutlery tray where does all the muck come from that accumulates in the corners?

Dust fairies are very important in the house. They sprinkle dust over everything so that they can follow the foot prints of the eebeejeebies that come out from under your beds at night. Then they can round them up and put them back where they belong.

When the dust fairies arent working, they like to curl up and sleep somewhere - your bellybuttons - which they line with fluff to make them nice and cosy.

The odd shoes on the sides of the roads are the results of badger road crossing safety testing. They steal a shoe off a human and lob it across the road - if the shoe gets hit by a car (and knocked to the side of the road) the badger knows it is not safe to cross.

Dead badgers at the side of the road? They are the ones that are no good a nicking shoes.

Sharron Report 3 May 2008 21:48

Yes,but where does it come from? And nobody has told me why there are all those shoes on the sides of the roads.

There is a happy land
Where all the odd socks go.
You never see it happen - but
They vanish; that I know!
I put in two: I take out one
(The other's never seen).
Perhaps my automatic is a kind of time machine
That whisks them off (but singly)
To a place that knows no holes,
Where they don't get worn or smelly -
And have happy little soles!

Where does the dust-fairy live ?
You can guarantee that no sooner have I dusted then the dust is there again and husband thinks I have been on here all day !!!!!!!!

Oh Lindsey

If only it were that easy!

When the kids were at school they had to wear black socks. I bought dozens of the bloomin things all the same.
We had one sock drawer and the theory was that every sock would match every other so we'd never have the problem!

Nope.

Within a few weeks some had faded to grey, some had mysteriously stretched or shrunk while the tops of others look decidedly wider than when we'd started. Some became ankle socks while others nearly reached the knees.
How or why I shall never know!

It was then we had to start laying them out on the bed and trying to match them up.
Have you ever tried matching all nearly black socks?

I was so relieved when older daughter went to college and decided to always wear odd socks!!! LOL Then younger one (despite being in late teens) went through a Winnie the Pooh phase and hers all had pictures on them. I think one or two of hers are still sitting forlornly on their own here somewhere.

There are loads of black holes out in space - I can only assume some fall through the earths atmosphere and down my chimney.

Sharron

Sharron Report 3 May 2008 13:29

Where do the black holes come from?

Lindsey* Report 3 May 2008 13:21

We sort of broke the back of the sock problem, either black or white, nothing else, buy multipacks no patterns or frills !

maryjane-sue

maryjane-sue Report 3 May 2008 13:19

I believe I know the mystery of the missing socks - BLACK HOLES!!

I have at least one black hole in each of my rooms - plus one in all of my handbags.

I spend ages looking for something, to no avail - only to have them reappear several days later.

Now my question is, are the items that reappear my original items, or duplicates from another dimension?

Strange thing is, the older I get, the more black holes seem to occur about my house.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 3 May 2008 13:13

Exactly my question, kay???? Where do they all go?
