well if they searched the river then he obviously never fell in there-
this is so tragic- I can't understand why in our country children can just vanish-what are the police doing about it?

Yes, the river was searched but nothing has ever been found. Coastguards and the Lifeboat assoc etc were involved searching the river Yare. Looking at reports, the bike was found in Trinity Square, maybe what I read about it being near the river was wrong. Theres so much conflicting info, and the few reports have dried up. If I won the lottery, I'd pay the Sun paper to put his case on the front page, really I would.

this is awful-really is.It shouldn't matter what background or where he is from. Every missing child should be taken seriously-I take it they have searched the river near where his bike was found?
I'm astounded this has not been reported nationwide. His poor family. My heart goes out to them.

Sally, yes they found his bike by a river. He had been seen on CCTV prior to that in a shop. No body or clothing has ever turned up though, and searches were made. The family are in limbo, not knowing what to think, its so awful for them all.

I remember this story. I don't think it got a huge amount of coverage nationwide. But then his family aren't middle class professionals and he's not a pretty blonde girl.
They found his bike near the river if I remember correctly, and the feeling is that the poor little fella went into the water. I don't think he could swim, plus the river there is quite fast and treacherous.
Terribly sad and I feel for his family not knowing what happened however much people have surmised things.

3rd May (Sat) will be the 5 year anniversary of little Daniel Entwistle's disappearance in Great Yarmouth. His aunt messaged me the other day, its incredibly sad. The family will be lighting candles for him and visiting his memorial garden. Daniel's case has received hardly any media attention outside Great Yarmouth.
