Small gravel around the pots, mixed with crushed eggshells. They hate 'em because they are sharp and hurt their little bellies. Also, yoghurt pots sunk at ground level, half filled with beer. They love beer and will fall in trying to drink it and drown....but what a way to go!

Oats on the floor and round your plants.
snails love 'em.

They will dehydrate themselvesand die.

Then eother sling them in your bin or put them where the birds can see them,

Keep them raised off the ground and eventhough in a greenhouse I would use a propegator with a lid just the cheap ones while the leaves are young .

to regarding what seems a personal vendetta against me

it started when specky erected my plastic walk in green house , i had some herbs nicely growing, on checking the next day there was little holes in the leaves i supected the culprits were those slimy little brown things that were lurking on the floor and sides of pots, so i got my salt and exterminated them, no criminal charges were brought as there was no evidence of salt play.
to my horror the next day they had eaten all my lettuce seedlings in every pot, what can i do, i have taken on board preventitive measures from you kind people and contacted the slug patroll but there not interested at all slimy lot anyway, wouldnt trust them in my garden, can anyone help ive ran out of salt and tescos have banned me from there condiment section
