M y dear Dad died 47 years ago in November and I wouldn't acknowledge that he'd died, it took me 21 years to come to terms with it, when I went to Mum's I made myself believe he was at work. It was at a Spiritualist Church Meeting that the medium brought him through and it was just like I'd only just lost him I broke down but could the accept that he'd gone, I hadn't been able to grieve at the time, having to organise things for Mum and brother and sister just went to pieces, so it was left to me. Mum died 2 days after his anniversary 37 years later, she didn't remarry or bother with anyone else, God love her.

Christine, Frances and I went to see Colin Fry on Saturday, he is a medium and he gave lots of people messages from their loved ones, some were very funny and meant a lot to the person left behind. At the end he said, keep your loved ones in your head and your heart and they will always be with you. One day you will meet your Dad again. One man came through and Colin said he has so many people here with him wanting to say hello and send their love. There were tears of laughter and sadness at the same time with the messages which goes to show there is more after death than we think.

Christine, dont know if you could do this - but today is my mum and dads anniversary. I have paid £10 to have the church lit up tonight with spotlights in their memory.

See if you can do something similar. Its a comfort to me anyway and Im sure mum and dad would be over the moon about it.

Over 2 years since my darling dad went. He was a wonderful man, wonderful father and I miss him terribly every day. Like you Chris I was and am very proud of him - in fact thats the last words I whispered to him in hospital just before he went.

Yes my Dad was a smasher as well. He has been gone now 23 years but I still love him dearly, even though I am 'an old girl' myself.

So thinking of you, and your Dad.
