You will be surprised how well she will be after the op. Anaesthetics are so much better these days. As you have been told, the chest wound does not hurt unless you cough, but the arm wound will want watching. When she comes home,you will need to have a cushion handy in the car to put under the seatbelt,in front of her chest as the pull when you brake or stop can be painful. Wish her good luck from me, Jean

Wendy--docs wouldn't be wasting theatre time if they wern't pretty confident about a positive outcome,look after the arm wounds .

She will be having a triple heart by pass operation.. She also has chronic emphysema, so an added risk. She has to have this operation, as she had six stents, put in her arteries last year, after suffering a heart attack. These too are blocking over.
