Had a few spare minutes in my hectic schedule, so I thought I would quickly catch up on the boards before dashing off to watch the grass grow a bit more.

I see the past couple of days have been excellent. Not a single fight (that I can see) and soooo many interesting and diverse topics that it has taken my breath away. Oops, no it hasn’t, that was a netto bag on my head. My mistake, sorry.

So, where are we then? Right. The funeral fun dept continues, lots of fun funeral stories there and I thought the funerals aint what they used to be thread deserved a bit more attention, so I’ve taken the liberty of {{{nudging}}} it back to its rightful position. Don’t want this thread dying, do we?

The hug, kisses, cuddles and positive thoughts section is in overdrive! So much energy being sent via this site, it’s amazing! Every time I switch the computer on I look out of the window. The place is full of people picking up their beds and walking around like extras from Shaun of the Dead. Powerful thoughts so keep it up!

The math’s unit was quite good, with some interesting little algebraic conundrums to occupy the spare time between coffee breaks.

Have to give the religious club a little bit of a negative feedback, sadly. I think it would only have been fair to castigate the ant worshiping giant pygmies of Mongolia, as it seems that they were the only ones not condemned to eternal damnation. Try to be a little more culturally and ethnically aware in the future please and remember that omission offends as much as mention.

The saga of the doggy domestic dispute is gripping. My favourite was the episode where the dog owners were deprived of their liberty and made to produce doggy papers! Absolutely riveting stuff. Brilliant. I had a similar problem with a cat once. It used to climb into the house via a drainpipe and open bathroom window. The final straw was when it stole some shoes I’d just bought. The first thing I knew about it was when the neighbor (called Mr. G. Miller would you believe!) knocked on the door with the cat by the scruff of the neck. He said to me ‘Pardon me, Sir, is this the cat that chewed your new shoes….?’

So nice to see that everyone on here is totally honest and would never do anything nasty or tell any lies or anything like that, no Sir. This must be the very nicest board on the whole entire internet. It’s so nice to have such a feellgood thread on a Sunday morning. Much better than that boring old Francis Gay. (google before you ask).

Just to go off topic for a second….Does anyone still read the Sunday Post? Who remembers the Broons and Oor Wullie (he’s your Wullie, ma Wullie, a’bodies Wullie..... How dodgy is that!) I used to like reading the letters to the Doc. ‘Dear Doctor. I have large suppurating boils covering my entire body. My foot dropped off last week and I am always coughing. I lost my hearing a fortnight ago and my hair the week after. Do you think I should try using an aqueous cream or just stick to the paracetamols?’

But, to be fair, the prize must go to the mind numbing banality department. What diversity! What depth of detail! From pink and fluffy cuddly kittens to the highly imaginative ‘hello’ threads, well done all! The multiple 7 word story threads (I prefer mine to be about 10,000 words to be honest) march on rampantly. And not a single mention of genealogy, I’m pleased to see. We seem to have got that nonsense sorted out once and for all.

Well, that’s all for this round up. Might manage to squeeze one more in next week. If I’m still not banned.

Susan mentioned genealogy on GR!

Whatever next!

He was probably too shocked to mention it LOL

Wonders whether the fact that I just polished my boots would be worthy of a mention in Ians next journal.
