And we still love them Roz! It amazes me - still mine does have a good point or two - he has had to take over all the vacuuming and ironing for past 3 years and looks as if it is his for life!

Mine wipes the front of the worktops - not towards the back and as for lifiting anything (like cannisters or breadbin, toaster etc and wiping underneath - nahhhhhhhh - it is covered up so cant' get dirty!

Don't get me started!! My OH leaves stuff all over the worktops, never wipes them down. If he washes up he doesn't finish the job, says he hasn't seen things still on the worktop. Doesn't load or unload dishwasher if he isn't asked to, comes down for meals as they are being put on the table, now never offers to help as he is more of a hindrance in the kitchen. Can't remember the last time he cooked, he can, but does it so badly now I don't bother asking. He used to do really good roasts, which we don't have any more.
If I ask him to do a meal, he gets grumpy, prepares the veg first, despite the fact that the meat is still in the freezer. GRR. and his son is coming in a couple of weeks, so I will be cooking for three and still no help. If I don't cook he just goes out for a meal, I know it is cheap here, but not that cheap.

All I can say is that this morning my little angel is running true to form! He was up with the lark and off to play golf. Not often I eat breakfast but this morning I fancied a bacon buttie. Two slices of bread left in bin (Ok enough for me - what about his lunch) checked fridge - no bacon - (he must have used it all yesterday) got packet out of freezer as well as loaf - now was that hard - well was it????? (I had a slice of toast)

Why if they have a packet of crisps with a buttie for lunch - why place the mug on empty plate and STUFF the empty crisp packet in to the mug. I complain about this at least 5 times a week. Why do I love him I ask myself - he showed no sign at all of this irritating behaviour even in early days of marriage

when i'm at work and he's at home how come he dosn't notice if milk is running out, he drinks enough of the stuff

I lifted one out only yesterday - why if they use the last of the bacon/bread - cannot they either go to freezer and get a new pack or at least draw your attention to the fact! Why if they take wrapping off anything - clingfilm, cellophane or similar or wrapper off tub of butter and leave them on the counter top?

why do they leave empty plates in the fridge?

At least you know that should you ever be found comatose on the kitchen floor , he will step over you to make a sandwich before ringing for an ambulance!!!

Put it in a non-see through container with a lid, like a big yoghurt tub. (Saves the earth, too; cling wrap is just an abominable non-biodegradable waste of resources.)

Men will never ever open a sealed opaque container in the fridge to see what's in it. Even if you tell them to eat the stew in the yoghurt container for lunch, they'll "forget" and you'll find it next year ...

what really annoys is that my OH tries to take my beer out of the fridge to put milk and food in it ;-)))))))))))))))))

Our wedding aniversary was 10 days ago - couple of days before he decided he wanted to go into local garden centre - I knew it was for a card - you get nice funny ones there! On the drive home I asked him if he would please break the habit of a lifetime and not leave the card in its bag on the sideboard for 3-4 days trusting that I would not look at it! I ask you is that not carrying trust a bit oo far?

Keep going girls we are on a roll - don't know about a book over wartime memories - feel that there is a huge amount here waiting to be dug up! Could be a bestseller.

Sons are different my came home put oven chips in and fell asleep. Good job I woke up that night

Or put a whole loaf in the freezer without putting it into smaller portions and when you try to get it out the slices break ,
