i'm always tired, I've been on anti depressants for years in order to help me sleep but nowadays they don't help but I can't seem to come off them either. I didn't sleep at all on Saturday night and felt absolutely dreadful the following day. it really is debilitating and I sympathise with anyone who feels the same

Puss - tell Specky I am - I'm a lot heavier than when we met - and have piled on loads since the GP changed my pills at christmas cos they increase my appetite........... and it's not that I can't sleep - I DO - but evenso I wake up feeling exhausted and stay like it nearly all day :O(

Deanna - I must ask next time I'm in - they do check me periodically as i am on anti-depressants and they keep an eye on liver function.

I think I need to have a good chat with him about the whole thing really x

Anne, I DID.

I was sent for a 'regular' blood test by the consultant, who was not happy with it and sent my doctor a letter.
I had to go for more tests, as I was very anaemic.
I am now on 'iron tablets' and the difference was almost immediate.
My blood count has gone up a lot since, but not right yet.
Perhaps you are anaemic too.
You will not know until you have a blood test.
Good luck
Deanna X

That now very common ailment ......................

'Tired All The Time' - as mentioned by Dr Hilary on last weeks Tonight programme about sleep problems............

I know I do and I'm just so fed up of feeling like it - it's bad enough having to deal with sparodic depression without feeling like a wet lettuce leaf constantly :O((
