Mrs Tibbetts, LOL!! We used to live in a ribbon weavers cottage with an archway beside our lounge/under our bedroom, it was bizarre. I went out in my dressing gown one night to scream at some idiot who was sat on my living room window ledge. He ran off at top speed and never saw him again pmsl. You must have some patience!

On the whole we've good neighbours except for one we call 'Vera' (as in Duckworth) cos she's' so thick.
The chap over the road we call The little fat feller - don't see much of him as he's always on the borrow.
On the other side we have a retired head teacher who we call Fantasia - she'd forget her head if it was loose. The rest are OK.

My neighbours are not too bad, on the right a divorcee in her 40s with about grown up kids who are always round at one point or another - her daughter with her music blaring in her car who sometimes is over at lunchtime and puts music on at full blast - the same song over and over and over again!

It took me a while to figure out how many sons she had as I wasn't sure who was a son and who was a toyboy!

One of my living room windows looks out over her garden (I live in a coachhouse style house with two garages and an archway under my living space) - and one day I saw her sunbathing topless - slightly scary sight!

One evening saw her in her spare room ironing - wearing just a bra....

As for the other side - great couple of blokes. At first I saw them moving in and I was a bit worried they were going to be rough and a couple of chavs etc but they are both really nice and friendly and the OH gets on really well with them - shared love of motorbikes sealed the deal!

But before they moved in we had a single mum with her teenage son. She let him have his friends over to have mini parties in the garage - which is under my house. They would all smoke etc so I could smell it in my kitchen. One night they got very drunk and shouted at an elderly neighbour and got into a lot of trouble - after one of the friends threw up in the garage and another one took a pee up against the archway of my house. I thought things would get better after that but soon she got him a drumkit in the garage and let him practice in there - for hours.... he was rubbish!

Then one morning at 5am the police came round and did a drugs bust on her son. They left not long after that!

But the ones before that... they went away and left a younger sister to look after the house - who of course had a party on a Sunday night... I was kept awake all night by the noise and people coming and going at all hours - then to top it all off - a couple of revellers decided to have a bit of fun under the archway of my house - so amid much 'oh I really f'ing love you's I was sorely tempted to lean out of my bedroom window and shout 'she's faking it!'

couldnt ask for better neighbours here, we trade kids alot the time, they have our youngest if we go away for a weekend, infact they had her for a fortnight when my MIL passed on and we had to fly to the USA. ummmm he is also my boss!!!!

the otherside are an odd pair, theyre both Italian and stay in the house maybe 3 times a year, so pretty quiet on that side lol

i,m on a corner so only have one neighbour who's very nice and helpful, we have both said we'd never move dont know what we'd get!!

one side the house is empty....the lady went into a home a few years ago and has now died but her son lives in OZ and keeps the house for when he comes over...the other side....well...when we moved here (9yrs ago today) we got on with them.....but we asked man to give us quote for double glazing(he's a "builder") but after seeing some of his work we decided not to have him do it and since then he's never spoken to us.......his wife will say hello if he's not with her but she doesn't speak if he is with her,

Strange that this has come up as I just been out wif me neighbours as its their last night here ( be back in Oct )

I guess living as I do its great ya neighbours change on a regular basis ...pmsl if they dont I can always fire the engine up.

one side is occupied by 3 young poles, who are no bother at all, pleasant and helpful.

the other side by a married couple in their 50,s neighbours from hell.

I've lived in my council house for 20 years.
I used to get on well with the neighbours on one side but we haven't spoken for years now as they caused us all sots of problems.We call him " Hammer Face ".........as he has rather hard un-smileing features.
The other side has changed tenants 7 times since I've been here............the occupants have been a strange assortment of folk over the years.
The ones before the present folk had apparently moved home 27 times in about 14 years ( and have since they left last year been in a further 4 houses) she was barking mad..........lol......nicked named her Ke-ke ( after the frog in Hectors house ) always popping up over the hedge being extremely nosey.
Now we have " Winnie the Poo" and "Paddington" with their 12 cats and three dogs..............hopefully they too will bu**er off in a year or two..............lol

Joan, methinks your neighbours are related to mine.....come within a 20 mile radius of Coventry and you'll hear them.

Lol Sue - my sister used to love the shopping channels too. One christmas her spare room was stuffed full of watches, bags and egyptian cotton towels. Luckily she works now!!!

I think she was having troubles cuz she's never done anything crazy since (or not to me at least!!)

My other neighbours are two disabled blokes and their carers. They are all lovely and the man with Downs always puts my bin out for me on collection day - and returns it for me when the bin men have been.
