Just mentioned Legionaires to Dad.......he says that she wasn't isolated at any stage and would've been with Legionaires........so.........maybe it's something else? He's going to speak to my cousin and try and find out more now the shock of seeing her has subsided a bit. Thanks everyone for your kind words and good wishes. It means a lotxx

If she's usually a well person she should be in a better position to fight this off. (((hugs)))

Hi Muffy,
Sorry to hear about your Aunt, and I do hope she recovers soon.

I know of two people who developed similar symptoms after a holiday in Goa, and they both made a slow but steady recovery.

I always come down with a cold after after being on a plane, and am always wary of public buildings with air-con recycling other people's germs.

best wishes to all of you

It is well known - a lot in papers past few weeks that the quality of the air in aircraft is very poor. The air passes thro the engines and can pick up all sort of contaminants in doing so. Some flight crew been badly affected and banned from flying. Me, I'm glad I no longer fly. Passing air thro engines instead of having own unit to compress and feed the cabin with air was brought in late60s Ithink.

Thanks again everyone.

I don't think it is Legionaires but whatever it is has knocked her flying.
She had lots of tests done last week on her kidneys but they have come back as inconclusive. She's off for more tests this week so hopefully we'll know more once they come back. xx
