Marmite in New Zealand definitely didn't taste the same as Marmite in UK.
It wasn't as fluid either.

It was OK ish but not so good as that bought here.

Vegimite looked more the part and was good on toast.

I'm sat here reading this thread eating a marmite sarnie.

For those who love marmite try it in a sarnie with cheese and tomato.

Wonderful

Marmite - yummmmm :-) just as nice in sandwiches as it is on toast!

Vegimite - an Aussie colleague brought a jar into work once....not like Marmite at all....nowhere near as nice..

Lemon curd - sadly my days of eating that are over. Bloody diabetes :-(

Hi, use to eat vegimite off the spoon as a kid,
but we have 3 mites here in Oz,
Vegimite,
Marmite,
Promite.

Promite is a much smoother taste to it,
but is best on the freshest of bread and thin spread.
