David, what do you mean, you had a look to see if 30 'was about right', lol!! What prompted the question from the journalist - was it relevant to the interview? I would have told the journalist to get stuffed! Bothered? No!

At least it's a sexual past instead of present we've been informed about, E;)

lol Magnolia

Kay, I thought it might put yr mind at rest:)

Hello Shirley:) I don't buy a paper either and there aren't many other peoples sex lives I'm interested in lol. But apparently some people are shocked and appalled :)))

Back off to my tree now:)

I might be bothered, if I could be bothered, but I can't so I'm not.

Who is the man anyway, and does the answer to the question have any bearing on anything pertinent to me personally ?(unless of course I'm one of the 30 and have forgotten) ))))))

Sorry, having asked the question I drifted off into looking for oh's Skidmores...

lol Julie, well thanks for sharing that;))

Deanna, I heard a debate about it on the radio and was vaguely interested in the amount, wondering if it was about right for someone of that age:) It does sort of demonstrate the journalist's standards a bit:)

Karen, and being a bloke as well.....;)

pmsl Jeanette, yer right on the ball of news and current affairs you aren't you:)

Jeannie, I sort of agree - I think it's a shame that he gave in and answered it. I heard a caller on the radio saying he'd lost her vote fgs

Exactly, Lynn - not got a lot to do with his policies, unless he was trying to show what a modern upfront bloke he was:)

Teddy I don't know much about Nick Clegg yet but my instinct is that he'll be a good leader.

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

I agree no ones business but Nick Cleggs,

All I want is a Government that can govern, and the M.P's not feather their nests once they get in.

Yes... I do care.

I think it is a terrible imposition and no-one's business but Nick Clegg's.

I am sorry he chose to answer the question.

Deanna Report 2 Apr 2008 17:30

Funnily enough.... I'm not interested in the love lives of Government officials.... or anyone else for that matter.

Why do journalists think we are ?

What I think happens is, they print... we read..... as simple as that.
a business built on gossip.

We don't buy papers any more.

I didn't even know he'd been asked the question and don't really care either way.

Uggers

Uggers Report 2 Apr 2008 17:27

that Nick Clegg, the Lib Dem leader, told a journalist that he'd had no more than 30 lovers? Either because of the amount or that he eventually answered the question?
