Haven't worn a bikini since I had my kids 20+ years ago.

Am more of a tankini lady these days!!

Not a chance - even though I am steadily losing weight!

My belly looks like an extra from a horror film with all the scars on it!

Thongs are designed by cheese cutters. Horrid to look at and awful to wear even if you look like a super model.

I don't sunbathe anymore I just get brown as I'm on the allotment or in the garden.

I don't think bikinis are very flattering - on anyone - just my opinion. Tankinis are nice, and some 1-pieces are lovely. However I don't swim, or sunbathe, so have no need of any of them, although I do keep a couple of cossies in case we go to a hot tub!

Good on you ladies!!

I think I'll get a tankini that way I can wear it either way and Grumpy (My oh's nick name!) will be happy.

I'm 43 this year and I wouldn't dream of wearing a one piece swim suit. I think the last time I wore one was at school because we had to. I haven't got a perfect bod either, but there's always somone that looks alot worse than me ;-))))))

My Mum is 63 and still wears a bikini

I'm 45 (and a granny) and have just bought a couple of tankini's for my holiday in May. (I like those because once you're on the sun lounger you can roll the top up and tan your tummy - better than an all-in-one cossie but slightly more modest than a bikini for my age-group). Mind you, I do tend to hide my legs behind a sarong these days for as much as possible on the beach - only whipping it off when I need to go in the sea for a dip LOL.

Just started getting a bit of the ol' cellulite in last couple of years so feel a bit self-conscious about it.

Have been massaging like mad with various oils and creams the past few weeks! Actually, believe it or not, my thighs and bottom look and feel slightly thinner and better toned - so it does work (you have to be really persistent with it, though - twice a day). Olive oil works a treat!

Kay about the only one pieces seen abroad are those that don't cover the top at all.

Is my Mum the oldest bikini wearing granny?

I´m on the Costa del Sol. And everyone wears bikinis or usually just the bottoms and go topless regardless of size, age or shape. . We have several nudists beaches, though in fact anyone can go nude on any beach and it´s legal. Whole families go to these, not like in UK where they seem to be mostly male areas. So why worry about a bikini and how old you are? Get the sun to your bod (with care of course) and feel great.

In Lanzarote and Tenerife there are very few one piece swim suits in evidence. Most people wear two pieces (not usually brief bikinis although I have seen a few thongs (ugh). I often wear a tankini (& I have a lot to hide! Have also worn a two piece, people don't look at your shape and don't worry about your age. wouldn't wear one in UK though.

I wore bikinis up to 2006 when I was 56, I have several in my drawer but I can't wear them now since my mastectomy last year :((( So I'm (almost) in agreement with Samantha...I don't think it matters what age you are, so long as you are reasonably trim, go for it.

I've never worn one.dont see the point in getting 'burnt blubber' lol.
Besides it's too much like hard work to me,to lie in the sun,get a tan for what?? to strip off at home and show your friends and neighbours pmsl
