Studio 51 would go to this club every week to hear the Stones.

This is where the Beatles offered the Stones their first hit.
Location: 10 Great Newport Street, London

Description: This is where the Ken Coyler Jazz Club (also called Studio 51) used to be - a jazz club that turned R&B and rock & roll through the sixties. The Rolling Stones were regulars at the basement club, and its where Lennon & McCartney spotted the Stones manager walking outside and asked him for an introduction.

They there and then and here offered the Stones I Wanna Be Your Man, and it became their first British hit.

The Byrds,
Crosby Stills and Nash
They were my earliest idols. I still listen to their music now.

Am stuck in the 50's mainly,
mum had a passion for the likes of
Connway Twitty, Tom T Hall, Burl Ives and so on,
she never played Elvis but for some reason
I just knew how to play the tennis racket when he came on the radio

Mine was UK Jess Conrad, Billy Fury and Adam Faith.

US Elvis.

We would go and sit outside of Jess Conrad's house in Dulwich and wait for him to come home or go out.
Saw him on TV on Bank Holiday Monday, didn't reconise him at first! ah

I had Elvis's picture on my bedroom wall and a group onf Russian Architects came to look around where we live, they saw the photo and asked the interpreter "was it my Father" they didn't know who he was and thought you would only have pictures of Family members on your walls.
