Had our gas meter removed to literally the other side of the wall,as it was under the sink in the cupboard, and we wanted it outside. It cost about £500,which we thought was rather a lot as it just backed on to the outside wall.It was Transco who did it for the gas board
This was about 5 years ago when we had a new kitchen.

We had our leccy meter moved 4 years ago, it was outside the front of the house, we had it put around the back, we were initially quoted £200-£500. When it came to the bill was less than £150, carried out by the local electrical supplier.
Might be different with gas though??

Linda our electric meter was replaced not that long ago by...emm who ever lol. No charge for it.

It used to be you had gas from one and electric from the other, not now.

The calls we made were from one place putting us onto another.

I wanted my electric meter moved to outside which meant it was virtually being turned around as the place it was to go was the other side of the wall...it was going to cost £1,000 so you can guess what I said....NO THANK YOU. That was 9 years ago!

We are hoping to put in a car parking space at the side of the house. Gas meter is in the way.
Do any of you lovely lot have any idea what sort of price,it would be to have it moved? Probably about 10ft down the house wall.

After 6 phone call's we are being sent a form to fill in,and a surveyor will come out and give us a price.
It is going to be about 4wk till we hear.

I have no idea and hope somebody else would have an idea.

Thank you
Marion
