Mine fairly young, about 7, but just for the watching of videos and DVDs. My 16 year old still hasn't got TV connection in her room, they watch telly downstairs.

Yep that's pretty much how I feel but I'm getting the *well so and so has one* spiel at the mo.

I think young kids bedrooms should be for sleep not even play .........OH is having a wobble. I shall stand firm lol ta allxx

my girls have had a princess tv and dvd in there room since eldest was 3 but they only watch it on a morning and when they wana watch a dvd if i dont fancy watchin it again during the day which isnt very often
they are not allowed it on on a night and have never asked they no 7 o clock bed no lights no telly sleep lol

Mine was about the age yours are now.....but my boys got one coz they had a play station and then she wanted one coz the boys had one...BUT I agree with Julie....its the worst thing I ever did.....we lost the sitting together as a family thing...

Kyle was 11. he got his in 2006 (an old portable)

Connie knows she can have one when she starts secondry like kyle

Felt a bit mean but feel the need to have a little control at an early age of what they watch on the telly, and how much

I don't want my 2 to have one untill they are old enough to buy one..i like that we all sit together to watch the tele

Not until they were in their teens...............it won't work as well with our youngest though as she is used to Sky.

The older ones just had the 4 channels to choose from.

At what age did you allow your child to have a TV in their room? and was it a success? ta xx
