I have a chap who married in 1849 and was sent to Reading Gaol for assaulting another woman the following year. Can't have been a nice chap. And a few others including one who was transported for nicking a shawl, poor bugger. |

Have you tried the 'Trace a Convict' or Black Sheep sites IOM....lots of info on convicts there....and also lots of other Australian sites too. |
