Hello everyone!

Are you all ok?

Don't even mention my pms. I'm going to have to look through all of them and reply. There's so many people that have pm'd me about my tree & I haven't even looked at the pms yet.

I haven't been checking the boards so haven't been reading threads. I'll check that one out though Hayley! Has Hoff been behaving himself?

I'm usually oblivious to everything that goes on around me as I'm usually caught up with life's little issues. I'm not very political and I don't read newspapers (cannot stand the bias) However, I do tend to look on the internet every now and again for the latest news just to keep me informed.

However, the past year or so, certain issues have caught my eye which has left me feeling uneasy. These are just a few

I read 1984 by George Orwell about 17/18 years ago. I haven't read it since- usually I would forget a book that I've read so long ago as my memory is so poor. Indeed I have forgotten the details in this one but it made such an impression on me at the time, I cannot forget the issue of the governments control over the people.

I was wondering what people's views are on the subject. Do you think we could be heading towards 1984?
