Yes, and once I bought 2oz of Cherry Lips (remember them?) and salted peanuts had been on the scale before and they tasted horrid!!! Shopkeeper wouldn't change them or refund money...like to see that happen today..what a disappointment as it was my pocket money and so looking forward to them lol |

I remember my nan giving me 3d old money to go to the shop on a Sunday morning and you could get 2oz of sweets - acid drops, sherbet lemons, toffee crunch or pineapple chunks - or some black jacks and fruit salads that were four for a penny |

Lol - oh I had forgotten that bright yellow sherbet powder - lick ya finger and then dip it in - then let a friend have a few dips in exchange for a sweet. How did we survive all those shared germs lol. |

We have a big sweet shop in our underground market where they sell all the old sweets. My 8 yr old takes ages to choose. I still love sherbert pips and tom thumb drops. |
