Janice,

just think of all that energy you will receive, when the weather starts to heat up and the plants start giving out their energy. You lot are so lucky down south with all the hours of sunshine. They tell me the grapes are now taking hold in some areas. Not long before we see a fruity english vintage.

John, one thing I have just noticed is that the Peony is showing its red shootsabout 8 inches off the ground....early for that.

its a sign of the times, next time you are out looking tell it i was asking, I normally cup my hands a few inches away and send some chi into the plant. Sounds crazy but it makes me feel better.

Rose - thought you were going to paint this afternoon!

John - Denbies Vineyard on the outskirts of Dorking in Surrey is flourishing - visited there for a tour some years back with wine tasting - bought some as well - you should be able to find in on Google. Also some others in Sussex.

John, I talk to the plants...especially newly planted ones...give them a little encouragement ...

when my son was little I heard him one day as he watered some plants on the patio "sorry it's only gungy water my darling" lol
