Thanks May,

I must confess to jumping one night when a strange voice suddenly said something when I was at the computer....lol it must have been one of the adverts and I had the speakers on....very un-nerving lol....

if it was someone trying to tell me something it will be my late mum, telling me to 'get on with it' lol

In January lasy year two little pewter ornaments of native Indians which we kept on top of the TV jumped off three time I said to OH I thinks someone is trying to tell me something don't you his reply was the tv is too loud it's shaking them off, I'd had a virus infectiion and gone very deaf OH is profoundly deaf but the tv was loud to him but I could only just hear it don't worry Rose strange things do happen for no apparent reason and as RStar says most likely mean someone passed over is letting you know they are near with love.

Thanks Tina...I won't walk under ladders lol but that is more practicality than anything .....as you say re black cats, other countries have superstitions with opposite meanings to ours so won't worry too much lol....Que sera sera!

Glad I have made you feel better.
Your pictures sound just as lovely.

By the way I am not superstitous and will intentionally walk under ladders -unless of course there is a man that does on top with a tin of paint LOL

As for black cats -we say they are lucky - in other country's it is considered bad luck to have a black cat cross your path!

Have a peaceful night.

lol Thanks Tina, feel better now!

Your pictures and mirror sound very similar...mine are a lady with a curly haired little girl, one is called 'the offering' which has the little girl giving flowers and the other side is 'the orchard' where the girl is being held up to pick an apple..

Rambling Rose, I wonder if we have the same sort of picture. I too have a Victorian frame which has a mirror in the centre between two pictures - the pictures on mine are of ladies in their rooms sat down nursing a child. They are lovely prints. The frame is really ornate and as you say very heavy! lol

Would not want mine falling down on anything.

By the way mine and OH's wedding picture was hung up at his MIL's just after we got married and slipped three times - her being Irish was very superstitious - ooh thats bad luck! Can I say OH and I have been married 22 years this year and nothing major has happened yet (fingers crossed) lol, have happened.

My grandfather's picture fell off his mothers wall at the time he died (he was 66 she at the time was 89). By the time the family had got to her bungalow to break the news the curtains were closed out of respect as she said she knew something bad had happened

Its also likely to mean that someone up there is trying to draw your attention to something. Not necessarily bad!

Hello Ann and Rio:))

What do you mean ...not hung properly in the first place???!! lol

Funny...I was not sure about moving the table there...it was in the front room and I did think it might be more useful in there....but if i hadn't moved it to the kitchen...the mirror would have broken probably.....mmmmm....lol
