I collect and polish certain pebbles.....I did once find a lovely piece of Amber :)

Never had a go with a metal detector though.

Leanne,thats cheating ! Dont blame you though. Yes, beach combing sounds fun & you see load down there with metal detectors.

Indeed I do.........I love the beach in all its aspects........our beach is really changeing at the moment as an outer harbour is being built........our beach is going out further and further.

I love beach combing and lugging home lumps of drift wood.......lol

I love the beach in winter time Wildcat....I was down there in dence fog a couple of weeks ago.......now that was something to experiance........lol........spooky

Hi,leanne,waves to Amanda.Though everybody prefers summer there are some benefits to winter !
Including deserted beaches,another favourite.

I used to love looking at the frost patterns inside the windows when I was a kiddie

At 7am this morning, at work i went out to feed the birds and noticed the frost on the garden furniture covers (i work in a care home for Alzeimers). There were lots of tiny perfectly formed stars! I have never seen this befor, so i took some pics on my phone!
They were abs, gorgeous!

Just a little thing i thought i would share!
