Why do you want to do that without doing your own research, another tree could be full of mistakes ? Its like copying someone elses homework?

Well I guess this is case proven, it's a bad idea to open up your tree to anyone!

Many of the people on this other persons tree will not be related to you. You might want to browse through it and pick and choose who should be added to your tree, do you really want their spouse's mums aunts seventh cousin?

Why on earth would you want to C&P someone else's tree?
Copying causes more problems on here than just about anything else.
If you just copy you don't know if the information is correct & you certainly learn nothing about your ancestors.
Sorry but to C & P is just to name collect

You can't at least not on here.

The only way to do it automatically is to use a program such as FTM on your PC, which has merger facility. This will also require the other person to email you a gedcom of their tree for you to merge.

You do it at your peril, first you ask the tree owner if you can,

Then you remember not to put living relatives details,
