Oh Malc, I know exactly how you're feeling, you have my sympathy and understanding. I was just saying to someone earlier on, I wish the telly and papers weren't shoving Mothers' Day in our faces all the time, it really hurts those of us who miss our Mums.

I will be taking some flowers to the crem on Sunday and I've made a little Mothers' Day card to go with them. I think the idea of putting a rose by her picture is a lovely one.

How about buying a rose bush.....I got one for my Father called....Remember Me... and planted it when he died.....amazing how much one ( me ) talks to it in passing....you should be able to get one from any garden centre......a beautiful rose.

I can't for my nanna as she didn't like cut flowers. She liked them in the garden.!

I know Malc

My Mum died 25 years ago but it still hurts on Mothering Sunday.

I might pick a few primroses and put them in a tiny vase. I used to go out and pick her a few when I was little.

Malc

You could always buy a single rose and put it in front of a picture of your Mum.

I bet she would know you have done that for her.

Why don't you buy her some flowers and keep them at your house? You might feel better knowing you've got her something. A relative of mine does this and finds comfort in it although I know it may be too soon for you. Take care.
