There must be a link - I had heard of a site sometime ago which told you how to commit suicide and see from this thread that there is. Strange that, as far as I am aware, they all chose hanging as a means to die - would have thought that the obvious one for youngsters would have been pills. I do not know if it is true or not but apparently in the past few days some reporters were actually parked outside a house of bereaved parents. My thoughts and prayers to all of the parents and the parents in this area must be terrified to let their teenagers out of their sight.

you know it troubles me that noones mentioned murder,
why would a teeneager girl so beautiful go in a woods at night alone,
i know its happened to boys, but they are all so lovely looking, you know theres a common death,

they are all simular age
all same area
more than 2 were in wood land i beleive

How to behave in front of your parents, where to go...... I think it is about time this site were removed from the web.

The press aren't going to stop printing
this makes news and sells papers .
but i still think there is more to these suicides
i could be wrong , but .

my 14 year old daughter is on my space all the time....its firghtening....are the sights not monitered ??

Ive just been speaking with my 16 year old daughter about all this and she said on one of the social internet sites (like my space) shes been on, there is a link to a site that shows you how to tie a knot in a rope for hanging yourself its beggers belief doesnt it? i was so shocked when she told me this id like all parents/carers to be aware of this.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families concerned.

My thoughts go out to the families of these poor people.
I hope there is some light at the end of the tunnel as to why this is happening to so many in one place.

the chief police officer in the area was asking yesterday at a press conference for the press to behave more responsibly and not sensationalise these suicides and he layed most of the blame squarely on media for sensationalising. However, his plea has been ignored if today's papers are anything to go by

i saw the photos of some of them in the paper
and they were lovely looking .
people that ive spoken to also say that it seems that theyve made a pact but as you say Ann the the police say no .

the coroner, the police and some of the parents say it isn't a pact, but it sure does sound very strange indeed - I don't know if it has struck anyone else, but all of them were such beautiful looking people!!!

Do you think it could be something like a pack
made between them ,
as i believe they knew one another or their friends knew one of them and so on

well thanks gang - I wasn't seeking sympathy for myself though - just trying to put forward the fact that they would have been thinking of nothing but themselves. Had they thought of their families they would not have done it. I only realised after how dreadful it would have been but I was so low at the time it was just me who was on my mind. My OH, son and mother were mortified as were my friends - no one had realised how very depressed I was, I didn't even know myself how depressed I was, I was one of those people who always kept a smile on my face - that's what people with clinical depression do. I was actually working at our local psychiatric hospital at the time and my boss and colleagues were trained psychiatric nurses - they never had a clue! That's how it is unfortunately. No one would probably have realised that these teenagers were contemplating suicide.
