She either wasn't born in Rock or she was adopted by Thomas and Elizabeth. Or they some how avoided census. |

I now think Claire had the right family, Thomas is a miner on 1851 census. I also think that unless Jemima was staying with someone else she was actually his sister's daughter and the adopted her. |
