I have always thought that was a brilliant idea in a community Ron. I have heard this works well in some communities...alas...My Oh does lots for others but they are unable or unwilling to reciprocate. |

Yes I would. Having come from a farming community this was, and very much still is, common practise, including the exchange of goods, ie. a bag of spuds for a bag of swedes etc. |

It's a good idea but would need to be in regions, otherwise Mr Brown's skills in Newcastle won't help Mr Smith in Bristol. |

Yes, I think it's a good idea. I'd join it if I had a skill to swap for something. |

We have a system similar to this that is called the Barter system and I think you get points if you do something for someone, you can then use those points to get work done for you by someone else. Not sure how they work out how many points a job is worth, but it seems to work very well. They may work it out as so many points per hour. Something like that anyway. |

I would be very wary Ron, although in theory I think it is a very good idea. |

I'd be up for it but could only offer say lifts in my car or to do shopping, things like that. Would be a good idea to incorporate into this scheme a system of disposing of unwanted articles -e.g. you have a microwave you no longer want or need, or a table, or a computer, some garden furniture, etc. |
