If need be my partner would pick her up the day before and she could stay at mine for the night.
As I said though, She hasn't tried to sort anything out.

Thanks all,
Well I too think 30 miles is nothing, And if it was my dayghter, Again i'd happily walk.

Im more upset that she hasn;t tried to arrange anything else, Make me think she doesnt really want to come.

As she doesn't drive, could someone give her a lift to the service?
Pick her up from the station?

Give her a skateboard?

Just realised if I gave that excuse, a skateboard is probably what my girls would give me LOL

Sounds like she's been spoilt!!!

oh Pat, how awful - if I had a daughter I'd travel to the other side of the world to her wedding. My son got married locally but same for him, it's just something you would want to attend - d'you think she'll change her mind? D'you have other family to attend - after all thirty miles is not far, even if she took a taxi. Like Joyful said, I would happily walk it

How far is too far to travel to your daughters wedding?

My mum has tonight told me that she's not coming to my wedding........Cos it's too far away from where she lives (30 miles). Doesn't matter that it's local to where I live!

She is going to come to the evening reception cos she can get a lift with my uncle.

She hasn't even tried to arrange travel to the service (she dosn't drive).

I can't quite believe it!
