I'm currently looking for details on a John Waller, born in c1824 and married to a Catherine. One son Charles who would have been 5ish. Thanks in advance, Saffron:) Forgot to add: In 1871 they were listed in Wells, Norfolk.

Hi, I went to look up on ancestry for you, but then realised that they don't do 1861 online yet. I have few 1861 census returns. You will need to buy the CDs of it I think. At least I did for Dorset. I did find him in 1871 however with his son Charles and also in 1881. Couldn't see him in the 1891. If its any help I did find this death: Name: Waller, John Record Type: Deaths Age at death: 75 Quarter: March Year: 1899 District: Blofield County: Norfolk Volume: 4b Page: 138 Sorry couldn't help. Although maybe this does?! Lyndsay

Saffron, hi, are you with 1837 online? If you have credits you can use their 1861 census, not sure if your area is on yet mind you, but it wont cost you anything to take a look, best wishes try world wide web 1837 online dot com

Hi Saffron, Try the Records Office board and request a 1861 Norfolk census lookup for your names there.

Karen, Thanks for the suggestion. I went to 1837 but Norfolk isn't online. I new there must have been a reason I didn't look! I love looking for myself! But thank you anyway:) Saff
