Steve, you may have to wait for the 1921 census - should be out about 2022 ! meanwhile you could go down to Lewisham archives / Lewisham Library 199-201 Lewisham High Rd and look at the electoral register - though that will not give names of the young 'uns - and then you have the Kellys Directory. You may find other sources there too - people are very helpful there. |

I take it they had some sort of business there? Have you tried the historicaldirectories site? Pain to navigate but when you sort it out it does bring up some helpful stuff. |

No, they were just residents... my great grandfather was a civil servant. And I can't exactly get to Lewisham as I'm too far away. |

Some of the directories on Historical Directories do list residents as well as businesses. Also Ancestry has some directories but the general search facility on there isn't very good for searching the directories for a full name; it's best to find the directory you want and then just look for the surname in it or something like that. Most of the directories list by surname then first name anyway so if you search on Historial Directories it is also best to put just surname or surname and first name but it also has 'fuzzy logic' search which can be good.
