stone quarry man incedentally, his birth place recorded as darlington, northants is actually a suburb , for want of a better word, of the current town of Northampton, and is actually DALLINGTON

HI, can anyone decipher the occupation of Frederick Place, born Darlington,Northamptonshire, c.1874 on the 1901 census. RG13/2901 , please, all i can work out is its something something man, i think. thanks AL
