vivienne,have just looked on ebay,on search put in the war ,ie boer war medals ,china war medals, only a few .tony |

HI VIVIENNE,dont think i can help you,some medals can be found on ebay from previous conflicts, i am no expert just trying to find my grandads,his fathers,and his 2 sons medals, if you click on a medal you can look at sellers other items for sale,you could get lucky.regards tony |

Hi Tony Where would I look for medals from previous conflicts? I have my Grandfathers WW1 medals but he was also awarded The Indian Medal & 3 clasps The Queens S. A. Medal & 4 clasps The Kings S.A. Medal & 2 clasps Unfortunately when he died early 1918 my Grandmother was left with 6 young children & had to sell them. Thanks for the stirling job you are doing on the WW1 thread. I passed the last Som LI info on to the association medal man & he was looking into it. At least if the rellies aren't interested they will be in the regimental museum. Vivienne |
