I've googled it but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find if they have any medical records for the above hospital and if they do, where/who might I ask about them? Has anyone been successful in finding details of this hospital etc? My great grandfather died there in 1939 and I was hoping to find out more, like how long he was there for etc. It's in Edmonton, I think Silver Street, but not sure if that is still there since the Blitz. My great grandfather lived in Dalston at the time of his death (on the certificate) and his son who was living in Dagenham registered the death at the hospital on the same day which must imply that he was therefore a little while before death. On a slightly different note, he died 26th May 1939 - before WW2 started which is just as well because he probably would have been put in a internment camp (he was German, never naturalised even though he spent the last 40 years of his life here). LOL, well I've been looking at other London hospitals and most of them seem derelict now. Thanks for the address. Chloe |
