Stephen Undoubtedly, they would (well, they would if I had anything to do with it, cos I'm bossy) Everyone else: Thankyou very much for your info, let me tell you I was at first baffled by your reference to 'the Club Historian' (WHAT club, I asked myself? Told you I didnt know anything about cricket). I really don't know exactly WHEN my GGF was supposed to have played County Cricket, I assume its a young man's thing??? I got this info from my GGFs obituary - he died in 1949. I shall get off now and investigate those sites. Thanks again everyone. Marjorie |

Only one Holden is recorded as having played first-class cricket for Lancashire, C Holden, who played three matches (without notable success) in 1890. What do you mean, Heisenburg, 'You're not sure!'? |

Marjorie, Just out of interest: if all the quarks in an intermediate vector boson had positive charm would the resulting hadron still obey Schrodinger's Equation? |

googled for you - they have a club museum: Correspondance and enquiries about the Musuem should be directed to: Keith Hayhurst, c/o Lancashire CCC, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0PX. |

Marjorie I'd suggest you contact the club itself - I had great success doing this with regards my gt grandfather and Man Utd - they had an 'in=house' historian who was able to give me the facts which I could then pad out by looking him up in newspapers Zoe |

My Gt Grandfather, William S Holden, allegedly played 'County Cricket'. He was born 1864 and as far as I know, never left Lancashire. I know more about Nuclear Physics than Cricket, so could someone short-cut me to a useful site? Thankyou Marjorie |
