I have jusrt found my husbands birth certificate and noticed that it has the parents marriage date and place, this is for Scotland, is that the normal thing for there? Was well chuffed.

hi Sue, yes all of mine have the parents marriage date and place on them. Best one's are 1855 birth certs...they also tell you if the mother had any other children and how many! Christine
